I got tickets! I'm so excited! I just hope that between the sunday morning set tours and the start of the later screening there's time to get over there! :x

sorry another comment...but as I'm reading other peoples comments I realised something amazing. *laughs* I'm traveling almost 3,000 miles to see this! Now granted this isn't the ONLY reason I'm traveling that far but... LOL Do I get a prize for probably traveling the farthest from home?

I'm just so glad to have this chance. Being this far away I never thought I'd have the opportunity to watch and support this film in this way.
WOO!

*dances in a circle excitedly* I'm going I'm going! YAY! So excited! I just happen to be in Vancouver on vacation at this time. This is going to be the best vacation of ever! LOL

Fantastic! :grin Am I the only one in a bit of awe cause it's so near where they live? (Yes, that means I live in the Vancouver area... and it means I get excited about weird things...)

A bit of side note.. I'm curious... I wonder how many fans here actually live on the "home turf"? :)
mars is a comin!!

I am so glad that David and Co. are coming to the Vancouver Con. I'm coming all the way from Cape Town, South Africa, for the Stargate Con and now it is a bonus that David will be there! I just hope I can get a ticket to go watch the film. I fly out on Saturday and get to Vancouver on Sunday night. So exciting...
WOOT! so excited!
Written by kelseyandrea on 2007-03-15 00:57:02
Yay! V. excited for screening. Am kicking myself that I didn't buy convention tickets (didn't want to pay for set/location visits as i live here, thinking tickets for just the q&a periods etc would eventually come available...yeah. not happening!) so this def takes the sting off!
Written by Calantha on 2007-03-14 09:42:39
:grin This is fantastic news, you've made my day! I will be there, for certain.
Written by SeiyaTheLeaper on 2007-03-13 09:35:41
AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!! I just realized 12:15 pm is midday, not midnight (hey, I use the 24 hour system!). MEANING I CAN't GOOO, 'cause I've got the set tour and the brunch!!!! ARGGHH!!!! Someone shoot me now, please!!

That's the question I ask you all :cry Think Paul could drop a copy off the next time he's over visiting? lol :p

Congratulations on the screenings. Unfortunately, I've already laid out $300 for a special set tour that morning and have a hard time blowing it off. I was so looking forward to seeing the movie, too.

Hey...it's me again...just writing to say that I agree about the times set right now for the screenings...maybe a Sunday evening one should be thought of. I am still trying to make it that weekend (although I would only be able to make it to the Sunday screening). I love everything you do and love you! Can't wait to see if I will be there to meet you and see your movie.

Jean from Rapid City (yes, I am that same Jean that you had someone personalize a picture for an auto at the Burbank 2006 Stargate con) :P
Can't GO..will miss meeting Mars
Written by taywolf on 2007-03-12 22:05:34
The film I will see at one point or other - I am patient, I can wait.

But to see a hunk like Mars! That sort of thing only comes once in a lifetime. Love dogs (and cats) - people are more complicated.

To quote a famous General/Colonel "Dogs are my favourite people".

Have fun everyone.

Sending the best

Again, I can't make this one, but that won't stop me from wishing everybody well. Technically I don't have to wish, though. I know for a fact that everyone will be well. Laughter is by far the best medicine for anything, physical or otherwise. ;)
Written by cindyz on 2007-03-12 20:05:02
David I am really glad you are able to bring this during the con...but some of us have rather expenxive off set tours scheduled for early sunday morning.. and the brunch thing....and probably wont make either screening...is there a chance that a later screening can happen? like perhaps once the con is over...say 730 ish? I just found out 3 days ago I can go to the con and would be unhappy if I missed your movie. Of course...you can always bring it to the east coast!!!
dammit!
Written by Dew on 2007-03-12 19:33:22
10am?! I don't get paid til the afternoon on the 16th. :( Um...bills what bills? I'd rather go see a movie! OH crap. Need to find my passport to get back into the country. Nah...screw that. :p

Anyone up for sharing a ride from the Puget Sound area? I got a car...room for four more if you squish in the backseat. :grin

Well, it certainly is about time it made its way back to Canada! Now, how about the East Coast? Yes, yes, I know: no rest for the wicked - and you truly can be wicked, can't you?

Very excited that it's screening in Vancouver, I only wish I could be there! Instead I'll be home in Halifax, studying for chemistry and biology finals. :P

I'm sure it will be a smash, :)

Yess! I'm sooo there!
YAY!t
Written by libitina on 2007-03-12 14:20:38
Hah! I had just given up. I had called my friend with whom I shall be traveling to Vancouver and bitched about how completely unreasonable it was to finally make it to Vancouver and have you not do a screening.

So this evening I shall be squealling at her in delight, instead.

Thank you! (from someone on the East coast - though I am also planning to go to screenings that the Philadelphia Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival, so I am hoping your film got to one of those two as well)

*dances*
Written by ChipperChicken on 2007-03-12 13:43:26
Do you really think anyone will be watching the film when they could be looking at Mars?
Written by CrazyGeek on 2007-03-12 13:36:01
OMG!!! It is looking a little bit more promising for me to attend :)

And Stargate_Geek (or whoever it was who has a bday around that time and lives in Boston...yea, that was stargate geek :)) Can you get to Vancouver somehow? Let me know, cuz if you can and I can, I would be happy to get you a ticket? Try buses, train, etc.
Written by Muffin on 2007-03-12 13:18:43
Thanks fab news David! Hope to see you guys there if I can get tickets! :grin
Yet more screenings!!
Written by dutch eowyn on 2007-03-12 13:00:06
Oh great! I know quite a few people were hoping for that, so that's wonderful! And do I understand correctly that Mars is going to be there too? Sweet! He's a pretty laid back dog, he'll probably love it; plenty of hands to pat and scratch him :grin
Please come to Alaska

I've been hoping for this announcement! Thank you so much for giving up your valuable 'free' time to do this for us. I assume that 10am on sale time is Vancouver time right? Hope we don't crash their site too. ;)
Written by Becky S. on 2007-03-12 11:39:51
Glad to hear about the screenings! I can't go but I'm hoping for wonderful turn outs and great word of mouth. Hope evyone has fun!

Congratulations on another showing! And it's about TIME Canada decided to embrace you, since you're one of their own. I wish I could be there, but since I can't be, here's sending you guys good wishes for a successful Q&A. I'm sure Mars will win everyone's hearts!
Written by kiffle on 2007-03-12 11:32:03
The more showings the better, David! This east coaster understands your life/work is on the west coast, I can wait patiently. :)
Written by Stargate_Geek on 2007-03-12 10:20:27
Another showing that's more then 3,000 miles away from me. And on my Birthday, and the dog will be there. :sigh Oh well. I hope everyone enjoys himself or herself! And hopefully Mars gets a bunch of doggy cookies ;)

Please bring a showing to the east coast, like Boston!

A good portion of your squirrel minions are STARVING FOR ATTENTION.
KENTUCKY, INDIANA, OHIO, VIRGINIA, ALABAMA, TENNESSEE.

Anywhere close to any of these states will work.
Written by dgustavson on 2007-03-12 08:29:50
Ack! This "Left" Coast thing has got to stop. What's wrong with the Eastern seaboard? I can't do another jaunt to the West Coast so quickly after San Jose. ;-)

But either way, congrats on the new screening! Can't wait until you bring it to New York.
Written by sammy on 2007-03-12 08:25:02
great news for you guys. wish i could be there! hope you get lots of response in vancouver, and hope mars enjoys all the attention!

Looking forward to it, and to meeting Mars!
Written by wordplay on 2007-03-12 06:59:15
How exciting but OMG you're killing me with the west coast thing! The east coast of the United States is just not this used to feeling left out of things and while I appreciate the reminder that the Earth's axis is not, in fact, aligned with the stretch of I-95 connecting Boston and Washington DC, it's not particularly fun.

Right, so this is just whining. :grin Really, you'll be most welcome when you make it out this way, and have fun at next weekend's showings!
What's with the Timee?
Written by Gate Geek on 2007-03-12 06:13:15
Wow! We finally get our showing...and right during Con activities that some of us forked out over an $300 USD to attend.

As desperate as I am too see this screening, I'm having a very hard time justifiying throwing away a $300 dollar ticket for the sake of seeing ADB.

Can you PLESE have a Sunday night showing as well?

damn, now to decide what to miss. I'm not happy at the momoent.

It's on the set isn't it? *has sudden visions of everyone packed round a teeny screen watching the movie between filming breaks*

I really, really wish I could come, but Vancouver is just a little out of my neighbourhood! (Understatement of the year there)

All the best anyhoo
