We're scrambling to see if we can get you a bigger venue and free up some more tickets, or maybe even a second viewing. Keep your fingers (paws) crossed!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Can't wait to meet the cyber-masses that crashed the database in a bid to be there!

Whoa! Written by Dew on 2007-01-17 19:46:49 That's fast. Good job folks. |
hmmmmmmmm Written by SoooSwedish on 2007-01-17 16:20:49 Ok so I am really going to miss this event by like one day or so... Im going back to the US for work after they have sooo generously given me a new visa (hey Im a blonde, blue-eyed PhD but I still may be really bad person...whatever). I wish I was able to stay in Europe for the viewing and the con but "she who is inferior" must obey custom laws and return.... So, in order to confuse and disorganise (not that hard really) the American Authorities I would like to request a viewing of the movie in WASHINGTON DC (OK, I KNOW there are a bunch of you out there from MD... havent heard that much from VA or WV...). I even have a place in mind: the AFI in Silver Spring... Check it out and let me know what ya'all think. And, btw, I have only watched about half a season of SGA (after finding Mr McG on SGF...) but I did find out ALL about this weeks ep. Im really not happy about it at all..... not at all... all the best, Ms S |
Written by kamelion on 2007-01-17 16:09:51 20 minutes? You're ready for the big time. |
Written by Kady on 2007-01-17 15:08:22 davy-babes, i wasn't able to go anyway (got a martial arts seminar to go to!! ) but when you were saying about a second screening that would be great and a little bit closer to liverpool this time, ducky!! congratulations to everyone who go tickets. i'm so jealous of you all! keep the faith, kady xx |
Written by sammy on 2007-01-17 14:15:02 yes for a bigger venue please! coz we just found out we hadnt got tickets either, and also coz me and my friend are only getting to london round 4.30, so depending if and when you put the 2nd screening on we may not be able to come! |
SAD SQUIRREL Written by Zerocool on 2007-01-17 10:54:14 Ive been on holiday and have totally missed this. Im going to cry into my Coco now Me and the code Monkey very dissappointed |
Written by freckles on 2007-01-17 10:21:56 My comments are showing up as someone else's and vice-versa. Is anyone else having this problem? Very bizarre! From one of the unfortunate bods whose ticket confirmation was later revoked |
YOU'LL LEARN Written by crazy4dh on 2007-01-17 09:01:52 Soon you'll quit being surprized at how fanatically devoted your squirrels are!!! MGM is very lucky that we haven't showed up in a mass squirrel riot wanting the movie on TV/DVD now!!!! Hope you enjoy London....Still hoping for MIDWEST US soon. Hugs for you and Jane and Mars. Hope Jane is feeling better. I know that you are cossetting her terribly. |
Written by mariana on 2007-01-17 07:18:33 what a ride! first time i took part in crashing a website and i sooo expected that to happen... ;o) well, i got one in the end, so see all you other lucky ones there! |
I got a ticket too! Written by MagicMeerkat on 2007-01-17 06:18:18 Looking forward to welcoming you to grey, drizzly London. What am I saying? it's like Vancouver here. You'll feel right at home! |
Written by Laitaine on 2007-01-17 05:07:58 So. Very. Excited. I think I broke my F5 key, but it's all worth it - I got tickets and I can't wait. See you on the 1st! |
Written by lookingfortarzan on 2007-01-17 01:13:25 I can honestly agree with borg teddy there. Once the site acme back up, it took the time for me to frantically type (retype) my details and buy for it all to be sold out. Luckily we got in under the bar and have tickets. But it was frantic! I don't think I've hit F5 so much in my life. |
Written by J Leigh on 2007-01-16 23:20:47 A larger or second venue would be fantastic. Weekends are good. (I don't know my school schedule yet.) |
Mind officially blown Written by Aten on 2007-01-16 22:39:47 Wowie! Now there's a word I forgot was in my vocabulary. It's funny; I was just talking to my dad today about how much I lucked out in November. "The tickets cost MONEY this time! Ha!" Being the believer in fate, luck and cosmic signs that I am, I'd call this fitting. This is the one-year anniversary of shooting ADB, is it not? There you have it. To all those going to the screening (tickets purchased or otherwise): I don't have to tell you to do it, but have a blast. |
Written by casey on 2007-01-16 22:07:14 Yes, I was trying to get a ticket and was rather shocked that it went so quickly! I hope you do secure another location but I appreciate that it can't be easy and that London isn't cheap either - pls let Jane know that I thought she found a terrific location. Good luck and look forward to more news. |
Record Breaking! Written by lemonchicken on 2007-01-16 21:32:59 Wow! 20 minutes. Im going to say that beats out first day Harry Potter film screenings. Mars, its only a matter of time until you can add your pawprints to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. |
Written by Jen the Fangirl on 2007-01-16 21:01:31 Twenty minutes?! Brilliant! :D Congrats!! And to all of you who got the tickets, you're going to love it! :D Take lots of snaps! |
Written by freckles on 2007-01-16 19:57:49 Okay, something weird is going on with the site here as two comments have been attributed to me but they are not my words and my own comments have been given to someone else. Bizarre! |
Written by tory on 2007-01-16 19:49:34 Congrats! I'm jealous of all the UK fans that can make it. Here's crossing my fingers for a New York City screening -- and hey, one positive thing about New York City is I'm pretty sure if you go through New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and promise an educational Q&A, they won't make you pay (or won't make you pay much) for the venue. (Yes, I'm the NYU student who contacted you earlier about a screening.) Good luck at the Peg2 screening! |
Written by impoverished_student on 2007-01-16 18:54:34 Okay so my first thought wen realising I wasnt going to get a ticket...unrepeatable. But then I realised how great this is! 20 minutes! Woohoo for you! Congrats, and hope you can get another screening for us slow, useless and un-internet savvy ones |
20 minutes? Okay, not surprised but--- Written by Icarus on 2007-01-16 18:40:26 -- wow. Congratulations on that affirmation. Does this mean that each venue you pick is going to have to be progressively bigger as this snowballs?
|
OMG!!!! Written by angiebaby on 2007-01-16 18:39:15 20 minutes good god! well we got ours WOOHOO! but i won't repeat some of the language that was used when the site went down but we could have put navvys to shame! |
Written by freckles on 2007-01-16 18:34:37 The only problem is that a whole lot of us who had previously received confirmation of tickets from Wolf have just received notification that they have oversold and have had ticket confirmation withdrawn Am beyond disappointed at this moment in time... |
Written by sissi on 2007-01-16 18:15:14 *squeal* I can go! Can't wait to see the movie, and you! :P Glad this has happened for you, you should be proud! Hope Jane gets well soon and we'll miss Mars! Take it easy. *still ecited* |
Written by freckles on 2007-01-16 18:08:12 Yes, it sold out quickly but some of us that had confirmation of tickets have just had them revoked as Wolf screwed up big time and oversold and are now on a waiting list |
Written by angel on 2007-01-16 18:00:04 Yes! We got tickets. After 40 minutes of frantic refreshing, and panicking that we would get tickets, we finally got there. Can't wait for the 1st now! |
So great ! Written by Kev1305 on 2007-01-16 17:58:43 So great... got 20 minutes ? Ah ah the movie will be a great success on its worldwide release ! Congrats David ! |
Written by valderys on 2007-01-16 17:53:59 Cor. I'm a bit sad for those that missed out - and a bit worried about those tickets that seem to be being revoked! *checks inbox* Nope. Still got a confirmation. I was in no way suprised by the website crashing - I sort of expected it Didn't stop the nail-biting though. It wsa funny. A near success about 8.05pm, and then the website crashed just before confirmation. Then 40 minutes of constant refreshing. Then it went through easy as pie. I suppose the twenty minutes of frantic buying was about 8.40 to 9.00pm, right? I'm not surprised it sold out - 120 tickets isn't that many! I conservatively estimated that about half the Peg 2 con people would be able to make it, which would make it about, what, 200 or so chaps and chapesses going for 120 tickets? It's no wonder there was a bit of a crush! Hugs to Jane - although obviously very careful ones See you guys soon! *excited* |
Written by s_aurius on 2007-01-16 17:53:45 WOW! That's great news! I hope that you're able to free up some more tickets. I've heard from a couple of people who weren't able to get theirs. Hopefully there will be screening in the US Midwest sometime soon?! |
Written by shelsfc on 2007-01-16 17:43:05 Good luck finding a bigger venue or getting a second screening!! I hope as many people as possible get to go!! (was it really 20 minutes? It felt more like 2!!) |
Written by Tru Jedi on 2007-01-16 17:28:09 Congratulations! Here's hoping you can make it to Australia some time soon! Will travel anywhere to see it! |
*sheepish* Written by dutch eowyn on 2007-01-16 17:27:37 one of these days I'm going to figure out how to comment properly here... |
Whoooooooooooooooot!! Written by dutch eowyn on 2007-01-16 17:25:41 And you're nullsurprisednull by this?! Heeee, we saw this coming!! And now I'm going to very selfishly start crossing my fingers for a second viewing somewhere during the weekend. And even if that happens and I can't attent myself I'm going to be bouncing in my seat to see it sell out in record time nullagainnull. |
Written by Becky S. on 2007-01-16 17:20:25 It's wonderful news David! I hope you can get a way for more people to see the movie. Crongratz to all who got tickets! |
Written by windshieldbug on 2007-01-16 17:13:56 David, we warned your squirrels are rabid for this movie. Zerocool....I hope she got a ticket. She'll be really upset if not! |
pleeeeeeaaaase!!! Written by tinypenguin on 2007-01-16 17:12:14 ive been a lurker round here for a while now and i just had to post to say please please please arrange a bigger venue, you must, i was so disapointed when they sold out, i tried so hard to get tickets!! pleaseplease! u have to!!!! Emxxxxxxx ps. did i say please!! well one more time for luck, please!! it'd make me so happy |
Written by Shawna on 2007-01-16 17:08:15 I'm not surprised. I think you underestimate the number of people who desperately want to see this movie. Hopefully this will prove to distributers/venues that you can handle a much larger crowd than that, and that many more screenings are needed. |
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Written by Red Phoniex on 2007-01-16 17:01:26 PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIND A LARGER PLACE!!!!!!!! I REALLY WANTED TO GO! Congrats but we need another showing. |
Written by APM on 2007-01-16 16:48:20 Quote rosiewook:- "Since Jane's still recuperating, maybe you should put out some feelers for local fans who might be able to do some leg-work for her? She shouldn't be messing with this, right now." APM reporting for squirrel duty! Hope Jane feels better soon! |
Written by MdGateFan on 2007-01-16 16:46:24 Thanks... I tried to get tickets but I couldn't get through on the site. On the other hand I think that now you can show MGM that there is a demand out there for the film. |
Written by zwild1 on 2007-01-16 16:42:26 Wonderful News! Congratulations to all those snarky ticket holders! Here's to many more. *Holds champagne glass high in air* |
Written by rosiewook on 2007-01-16 16:42:01 My goodness. You've created a monster! See what you've reduced the squirrels to doing?! Since Jane's still recuperating, maybe you should put out some feelers for local fans who might be able to do some leg-work for her? She shouldn't be messing with this, right now. Either way, I'm thrilled for you and now really scared should you ever do a screening here in Atlanta. ::Jedi mind trick:: |

Phew, that was one hell of a ride. Tell me about it! I was almost cursing Bryan, but wasn't his fault the system crashed.. just us over-zealous fans Roll on the 1st and Covent Garden... WATCH OUT! |

Written by maryavatar on 2007-01-16 16:29:25 Hiya. Congratulations for you, *enormous woe* for me. By the time I got there, the Wolf site wasn't even loading any more I'll keep my fingers crossed for another chance though. And if not... well, there's still the con to look forward to |

Written by tmac72 on 2007-01-16 16:23:41 It's good to hear that there's going to be so many able to attend the screening. There are a lot of lucky people out there. Good luck. I hope all goes well with the sound system this time. |
Hypo-Toad Written by Mercury973 on 2007-01-16 16:19:52 You are getting sleepy- you will show the movie in Vancouver the weekend of March 24-25th. You will supply the Milk Duds, too. |
Written by strivaria on 2007-01-16 16:18:29 Oh and also... I do hope you guys can arrange another screening, hopefully sometime during the weekend of the con. I know of at least two people who'd dearly love to see it but can't change their travel plans to allow them the Thursday showing. |
Written by APM on 2007-01-16 16:17:24 i have just thought... the Forbiden Planet sci fi shop is only a couple of doors down from the cinema..... they'll get a bit of a shock on the 1st of feb when 120 scifi fans turn up early and wnat to kill some time. P.S I work just across the road from the cinema so know the area pretty well... so if any one wants a recomendation for a good bar or resterant to have dinner in let me know! |
Written by Scary on 2007-01-16 16:17:12 WOW!!! That is quite the feat!!! This means you need to have more screenings on both side of the Atlantic. |
Written by strivaria on 2007-01-16 16:15:40 Yeah, I think y'all underestimated the fervor of your squirrels to see this movie. I'm just happy I was able to sneak in (after many, many... many refreshes later) and snag a ticket once Wolf got the thing up and running again. |
Holy Bad Word Batman! Written by 11nine73 on 2007-01-16 16:14:51 Congrats David. And you were worried about popularity. You'll learn! Hugs Helen x (who hasn't got a ticket) |
Written by SeiyaTheLeaper on 2007-01-16 16:11:24 Yes, do look for a bigger venue... a second screening in a bigger venue... see if the Wembley stadium is available for the night. A bit cold, but probably the only place that can accomodate everyone! |
Good grief Written by hullfire on 2007-01-16 16:10:26 I'm going to need a double bypass after that... Mercifully have got a ticket for my troubles. See you guys there!! |
Written by Erynn on 2007-01-16 16:08:59 Congratulations, David! Good luck on getting a bigger venue, or a second screening. |
Written by Night Spring on 2007-01-16 16:02:04 Scrambling to accomodate more viewers is fine, but make sure you get Jane to stay in bed! |
Written by KDJ on 2007-01-16 16:01:05 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get more tickets out there. Wolf have just withdrawn my confirmation. I've spent all week printing out publicity stuff...I can't not go |

Written by Tipsywitch on 2007-01-16 15:55:09 Congrats to all who got a ticket!!!! Some of us (ok ME!)had already booked transport and hotel so could not get there for the 1st of Feb. You guys will have to give your own talks about it at the Con. Be warned, you're gonna get lots of questions. TPTB or D!and Jx, we need more UK showings. Need, not want, need. If we can crash a website, think what else we could get up to...null |

20 minutes? Written by borgteddy on 2007-01-16 15:36:07 It would have been faster if the site hadn't crashed. I hit the refresh button so often I think I may have broken it. But since I'm at work it's not my computer
