Our movie mutt's hot and heavy love life is obviously nothing compared to my steamy time spent tinkering with the site! (All to the melodic melancholy of Keane's "Under The Iron Sea" album) I hope that I have finally settled on the "best of all puppies" solution to the layout problems. I've made the last version of the website the default layout. However, if you scroll down, you'll see a "Template Chooser" as one of the menu items. This will allow you to select any of the three different designs I've used over dGeek.com's short life...oops, I mean adogsbreakfastmovie.com! I love the newest layout as it allows people to make the font size bigger or smaller by clicking on the corresponding letter at the very top of the page. It also lets you select full page mode which cleans up things like all those fabulously messy postings in the forum...Who says I'm not looking out for you all?! Thanks for all the tips and notes and updates!

dGeek. HA! So I'm not the only one that still refers to the site as this! *giggles* ADB is still labelled dGeek in my favourites and probably always will be.
I like the new layouts. I'll stop moaning at you about the portal now. Well, for a while at least.

Mars really does still your lime light! Such a beautiful picture, all lovely dovey!
As for the templates that's awesome.. although on Firefox it keeps reverting to the 2nd red template... I'm going to stick with the green original dGeek one cause it's the cleanest and easiest to read!

Oh, hooray! For some bizarre and unknown reason, ja_zebrina doesn't agree with my computer (which isn't old. It was last year's b-day gift) but it worked with my mom's (which is only months newer). It also wouldn't let me get on at school. Don't worry; I only use the internet at all during free periods and other times I don't have class. 
Also, thankyouverymuch for the pic of Lucy. It will come in handy in the very near future, I hope.
I had one heck of a geek-out today, too. I essentially waved my rudimentary knowledge and grasp of the idea of parallel universes around to one of my teachers. Thankfully, no offense was taken.

Oooh, flexible templates! Thanks. I can't zebrina to work for me. It keeps going back to the home page and the trailer no matter what navigation link I choose. Now I can pick another template.
Such a sweet doggie pic. Made me want to see that cute pic of Mars and his "ear guard" but I can't seem to find the article! I noticed on the News page, some of the news items don't show up under Latest News, but I can see them listed under "Popular". "www.adogsbreakfastmovie.com!" and "All I want for Christmas is... what the hell is that?!" are two examples.
Very nice pic on the News page, btw. A newspaper article about ADB, front and center!

ja_zebrina - Best looking layout.
But indeed perfect at home, weird at work(jumps back to homepage, i wonder if it has anything to do with the company site blocks?).
madeyourweb - is very nice and clean.
The one thing that I like in this one and not in the other is the comments layout.
In the other two the comments are kind of runny. It's hard to see where one comment ends and the other starts.
I like the different background shading of the madeyourweb.
It separates the comments much better.
Gives it a cleaner image.
Great work on the site and thank you for updating us so religiously.

The only problem I have is at work I'm having to use the js_velvet layout cause the new one keeps taking me back to the home page. Also, I agreed with the others and said many thanks for all the hard work you've put into the site.

The new layout works brilliantly at home (I love it) but for some reason when I'm here at work, it keeps going back to the home page. Cool, I'll have the js_velvet version at work and the new ja_zebrina at home.

I just realized (albeit somewhat belatedly, I suppose) that this website is such a rare gem. It's not often at all that an actor makes the effort and takes the time to be on such a personal level with his fans; it really makes whatever bond that exists even stronger. It makes us even more loyal because we know that you actually care about us. You care enough to quite courteously keep us informed about what's going on in your life when you very much don't need to (but, being an Aries, I suppose you need to tell someone! ). You actually listen to what we say. You actually read our posts! It takes a very, very special breed of person (or squirrel  ) to do that. I just want to thank you, thank you, thank you. Hmm, I haven't tried opening this site with IE - I had problems with it over the weekend. The only page it would play was the first page with the youtube clips.
I'm actually using Mozilla firefox just to view your site.
Love the pic of the dogs - they look so relaxed and lazy. I reckon Mars and co must be used to his owner(s) constantly snapping shots of him!
I only have one of Keane's albums... gotta admit I sort of forgot about them so I'll have a look in the store tomorrow to hear them out. They're pretty ok. :D

I think that Mars is gorgeous, but then I am the type of person who walks down a street talking to the dogs and ignoring the humans.
I am sure that Mars and his girlfriend, presumably Lucy, are 'just good friends' - especially after you took him to the vet.
The new lay out is good for me, nice and clear and site is still easy to navigate.
Atlantis is back in the UK after break for the Christmas period. Normal service has now resumed.

I think it's a great idea to give people options. I do like the newest layout, even if it was giving me problems (kept just reloading the main page).
And what a cute puppy pic. :-) Mars's girlfriend, I presume. Someone (I believe it was Aten) was apparently going to a lot of trouble to decipher what she looked like, so she should be quite happy. |
