Not much time to add more than that just now I'm sorry to say. However, I really wanted to let everyone know how much we appreciate all the help and support we've received from all of you in 2006. I hope that it leads to seeing much more of each other in 2007!
Jane is on the hunt for a London Theatre for a U.K. screening of "A Dog's Breakfast". We're planning on February 1st, so mark your calendars and prepare your posters...it's time to hit the homeland!
If you find yourself with a little more cash than you thought you would after the gruelling season of the grinch, can I recommend you check out Doctors Without Borders and consider a little donation?

Written by Squonk on 2007-01-08 07:01:58 Ooo and Happy New Year BTW!! |
Written by Squonk on 2007-01-08 07:00:05 OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!! A London screening - excellent! I can't go to the con (my boyfriend won't let me - dagnammit - though it is a bit too expensive for me at the mo, so he's right - double dagnammit) so please (please please please please!) if you do show it at the con, show it at a cinema too!! I am soooo desperate to see this film it's embarrassing. |
Written by Kady on 2007-01-07 06:20:35 david any chance of a screening here on Merseyside as well, i will probably not be able to make it to the London screening now! DAMNIT!! *headdesk* I'm gutted! |
Shameless Plug Written by freckles on 2007-01-06 15:17:25 Further to the request to remember Doctors Without Borders / Medecins Sans Frontieres, I would just like to let everyone know that I have set up an auction site for DWB/MSF (for SGA fans). The auction will take place from 1 April to 18 April (now why does that date ring a bell?). There are already a couple of SGA items that will be up for grabs and, as I will be going to Pegasus 2 next month, hope to have a few more to put up soon. The site can be found at http://msfauction.the-4ts.net All monies to go directly to DWB /MSF. Thanks! And (belated ) Happy New Year to one and all! |
Twelve drummers drumming... Written by Kim on 2007-01-06 09:33:33 Omg, Im going to miss it by one day! Owww So, ok, if not at Pegasus 2, I'm going back to my original plea: Edinburgh, please! We have cinemas, and film festivals, and fans, and dogs (and people who love them), and transport links, and I live here and I love it and it's great, and... well, please? Have a nice weekend! Kx |

Santa's little helper Written by Gebo on 2007-01-04 04:41:07 Mars is SO cute. I'm sure he and everyone else had a marvellous New Year Can't wait to see the UK screening. Started saving already I have donations go to 'Doctors without Borders' straight from my wages on gift-aid. Means they get the tax back on my donations. It was a 40th birthday prezzie to myself and them. If you do give to charity, see if you can gift-aid in your country. |

New Year Greetings! Written by watcher652 on 2007-01-03 01:38:07 Happy New Year to you and yours, David. Aww, Mars is so cute! Such a good dog to put up with that head gear. I'm glad to see you plan on screening your movie at an actual theatre. I appreciate the extra effort that takes. I hope I'll be able to see your movie on the big screen someday. |
Happy New Year Written by MdGateFan on 2007-01-02 21:09:52 I am glad to see that you are planning to show A Dog's Breakfast in London before the con. And of it goes, I will there. And at the con.
|
Written by xfkirsten on 2007-01-02 21:05:35 Mars looks absoultely adorable!! I think my dog wouldn't look at me for a week if I tried to put anything on her. *holds up a big "Will Sit Out In The Rain And Wind And Snow And Floods For A Seattle Screening" sign* |
Written by NethDugan on 2007-01-02 20:12:29 So does this mean it's not being shown at the convention? Because my rooms are already booked for Friday onwards... damn it! And it's way over on the east side of the country so I can't commute over either... *leh sigh* Well, good news, you're still gonna be at Pegasus Two. |
Yay! But also *cries* Written by JoDoodle on 2007-01-02 19:53:12 First, I wanna say Happy New year!! I hope you get everything you wish for and even more! I am glad ADB is finally coming to the UK. Bit sad that it will be on the 1st Feb (Oh who am I kidding, I'm a lot sad! *weeps*) It costs waaaay too much to change flights so I can attend the screening but I will definitely be at Pegasus 2 so I will see you then. *is still very sad though* I beg you, Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease! Do another screening in the UK! I will sell one of my hubby's kidneys to fund going to see it! What? He only really needs one! See you soon *hugs* xx |
Written by dgustavson on 2007-01-02 19:16:21 For once, things seem to be working out. I'll be attending Peg2 and flying into London from NYC on the 1st. Looking forward to the screening! Thanks for taking the time to try and set something up. Now, I'll just need to know the closest Starbucks to the theater and I'll be just fine... |
Written by CrazyGeek on 2007-01-02 19:14:42 Happy New Year!! I love you David!! and all the rest of the ADB crew...can't wait to see this movie (if I will be able too...that is if it comes out in theatres or what) |
WHOOHOO! Written by beeej on 2007-01-02 19:12:02 So glad I'm flying over early for Peg2! |
Happy New Year! Written by s_aurius on 2007-01-02 18:39:30 I so wish I could sneak onto a flight to the UK for the screening and P2. I hope all who get to go have a wonderful time! Perhaps there will be something in the Midwest sometime this year?! null |
Happy New Year.... and in ADB's defence Written by Snarkster on 2007-01-02 18:31:36 I think it's great that ADB is coming to London, and to be honest, I also think it is a perfect way to start what I know is going to be a fabulous weekend!! * I'M SURE I'M GOING TO GET MY HEAD BITTEN OFF HERE BUT..... * Yes I know there are a lot of fans that are not arriving till the Friday, but I hate to say this, don't you think it kinda risky to arrive on the day that the convention starts? What if your flight should be delayed or, God forbid.. cancelled? I mean, we had so many arrivals and departures cancelled right up to Xmas eve due to fog/bad weather... Maybe David and Co weren't aware that there are a lot of international attendees for the Convention, but I do feel that it is a bit much to ask them to change the date of the showing, when it is obviously something that has been specially arranged.. I mean, it's not their fault that you guys aren't arriving till the Friday.. maybe this was the only date they could get??? Just my point of view and anyone is welcome to shout me down about it.. I just wanted to point out the old adage; 'You can't please all of the people, all of the time', but please don't bemoan the fact that David is trying to accommodate the fans that live in the vicinity of his first UK CONVENTION APPEARANCE..... I mean, come on guys/gals, we don't want to scare him into not coming over again do we? Well, that's my piece said.. and yes, I will be at the Convention and yes, I damn well hope to be at the screening too, even though it means having to work overtime to be able to take the day off - believe me, I truly feel the effort will be worth it! Okay, that's my rant over with... Sorry! greatI'M SURE I'M GOING TO GET MY HEAD BITTEN OFF HERE BUT....their |
ADB screening Written by Scary on 2007-01-02 17:46:54 All the Best to you and your Family. 2007 is indeed looking to be a great year!!! What would make it perfect is a ADB screening anywhere in Canada. I can't afford the trip to England but I am sure I could get to something closer. |
Written by aqua76_uk on 2007-01-02 15:53:48 STOP!!!! London? That wee village? completely the wrong approach What you need to do is adjustthe old compass and start in Scotland. Its the place to be, honest |
Written by Kady on 2007-01-02 15:14:10 YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! *runs around manically laughing* it's coming to the UK! I am very please that ADB is coming to the UK, but i would still have to travel abit! How about having it in 2008's the Capital of Culture - that's Liverpool!! There's quite a few theatres there and it's an amazing place. i could show you around!.....i might be going, davy-boy so i'll meet you there! It depends if my dad and my boss let me go! |
Happy New Year! Written by MyaGeek on 2007-01-02 12:41:21 A Dog's Breakfast in the UK! We lucky Brits! Soooo cold here! |
Best of wishes Written by Aten on 2007-01-02 12:31:05 Hey, look at that! A great number of people in the UK are about to be as privileged as I! I wish you all the best from Los Angeles in the new year. Too bad my grueling robotics season is going to temper my site participation (oh, the pain...). I head one of my team's subdivisions, though, so I'm doing it for the sake of leadership! |
Happy New Year from Russia Written by Ivan on 2007-01-02 11:57:39 I'm glad to joined to yours site. And Happy New Year - 2007 |
Written by Shawna on 2007-01-02 11:50:21 Happy New Year! Glad to hear there's another screening in the works, even if it's even less possible for me to go to than the last one. Good news for the European squirrels, though. |
Written by nakedwesley on 2007-01-02 11:38:04 Happy New Year! May it bring you and yours much peace and happiness! Thanks for the heads up on the ADB screening. I knew I waited to book my flight for some reason. Sweet! Can't wait to meet you and see the film. *bounce bounce* |

Happy New Year! Written by hullfire on 2007-01-02 10:14:51 *does screening dance of love* I'm goin to have some kind of meltdown in February... I can't wait! -x- |
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Written by Jan on 2007-01-02 10:03:19 Mars + antlers + cute little heart ornament on tree = comatose Jan. I'm glad to hear that there is another screening, even if it IS too far away for me to get to. I was afraid a dvd distribution deal meant an end to theatrical screenings, and I'm SO glad to learn that's not the case! Now back to my devious machinations bent on bringing you to Ithaca, NY... ** evil cackle ** |
Written by casey on 2007-01-02 09:51:44 Lovely picture! Hee, I'm actually arriving in London on 1st February 2007 (as I'm visiting my sister) but I don't think I'll make the screening unless I come straight from the airport... ! : Happy new year to you too and look forward to seeing you, Kate and Jane at the con! |
Written by Becky S. on 2007-01-02 09:26:55 Glad to hear there will be a UK screening in the very near future. I hope you can arrange a few more - mainly for our squirrels in Australia and Canada (and yes I'll admit it - the Mid West or East Coast of the US too) in the coming months. I'll make a prediciton now: You will be happily surprised at your success in 2007. It's going to be one of the best years for you and your project(s). Just wait and see. |
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Written by sueKay on 2007-01-02 09:02:24 All the best for 2007! Sadly I won't be able to make the screening...I've already sorted out accomodation for Pegasus 2 so Mars looks adorable, and my next door neighbour's dog is his double!! |
Written by purple_dragon on 2007-01-02 08:51:23 By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE |
YAAAAAY!!!! Written by purple_dragon on 2007-01-02 08:49:46
London...1st of Feb...WOOOOOO. That's just great Me and my friends are already going to be up in London (staying at my parents) for P2 that week, so we can go Just one thing, how do we sign up/get tickets for the screening (if it does actually happen)???? Desperatley hoping this goes ahead, purple_dragon |
Written by Bloody B on 2007-01-02 08:36:01 HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! And now the Screening: Congratulations, but why on Feb 1st ?? Our group is attending Pegasus 2 but we arrive at Feb 2nd from Germany and leaving on Monday. That´s really sad Okay enough with the complaining. Looking forward to seeing you at the Con |
Written by windshieldbug on 2007-01-02 08:28:59 Happy New Year to yall as well. Mine was a bit lonely...but I watched the ball drop twice! How unfair! Sorry...I say that only because I was upset about missing P2 by a DAY....now I'm going to miss a screening by 3 DAYS! *Starts squirrel squeeking* Oh, well. Maybe next time around yall will appease us for country folks in the central US. |
February 1st? WHY!!!!! Written by HelmutDarling on 2007-01-02 08:27:17 *clears throat* No, let me start with HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! But please, guys, seriously, there's a lot of us coming in on Feb 2 for the con and leaving on Monday, cheap flights, work etc. - you'd break our hearts with the Feb 1st screening ... How about Sunday evening after the con??? Pretty pleade Love. H.S. |
And a very happy new year to you too! Written by dutch eowyn on 2007-01-02 08:17:04 Adding a little whine a whimper to those who, like me, come from a long distance to Pegasus 2, and can't be there 1st of February (flight already booked, and can't be changed, because that's the cheap way to go). No matter what, it would be great if ADB can have a screening in London, so if I can't be there, I'm sure you'll have a full house of equally excited fans, and I'm still going to meet you and Kate and (I assume) Jane, so that'll be great. Or what about multiple screenings...? *is hopeful* |
Best Wishes and A Happy New Year!! Written by Amy_McKay on 2007-01-02 08:04:56 Mars, The Red Nose So cute!! A Screening in London! But my friends and I from Germany are [B]just one day[/B) later, at 2nd Feb in London (Pegasus Con). Pity... We want to see this movie Are there other options? |
CLOSER NOT FARTHER AWAY Written by crazy4dh on 2007-01-02 07:58:38 MIDWEST US OR EAST COAST. I'll beg, borrow, bribe my way, but can't manage England. Bribery always an option for you though. Just about anything could be yours from fans in this area of the world. Big sigh! I think we may end up having to wait for the DVD, which will be okay, but not nearly as GREAT, AWESOME, AMAZING as actually seeing YOU in person. I'M HAPPY FOR THE UK FANS THOUGH. |
Happy New Year to you too Written by Aquaura on 2007-01-02 07:43:33 and to everyone here. Lots of hugs |
NOOOO!!! Written by 11nine73 on 2007-01-02 07:38:42 David, David, David, you cannot DO this to me!!! Please for the love of everything holy, move the date. I'm going to Pegasus 2 but there is no way in HELL I can afford another night in a hotel. I'm on pennies as it is and I really, really want to see and support your movie. Please remember your poorer fans. I'll love you forever and... and... I can resort to bribery if necessary and offer... *thinks about that* something. Chocolate? Love from a very distressed Helen *goes and cries* |
A "Happy New Year"... Written by Annie on 2007-01-02 06:48:41 ...to everyone, hope it's been a great one so far for you all and gets better along the way. A showing of the film is beiong planned for London - how cool, I knew I was right to keep some of my annual leave in reserve! I'm with Francy - where do we sign up for it? 31 days till Peg2, bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce (yeah, I'm happy). |
Written by Catsitter on 2007-01-02 06:40:13 Happy New Year to you, and Jane and Mars too. Love the picture. As for the London screening, I don't know the cinemas there well enough to suggest one, but if you are going to have any other UK screenings I think the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham would be absolutely perfect. But if London is the only UK screening, is there any chance at all that it could be on the Friday or the weekend, or at half-term (19th-23rd Feb)? It's going to be soooo frustrating for me not to be able to go! |
Written by Rebeccasaurus on 2007-01-02 06:13:45 Happy New Year! May there be many festive activities all round |
Written by Arlessiar on 2007-01-02 06:02:57 So sorry for using the wrong smilies in my comment!! I was used to those in another forum. This was the one I wanted to add in my comment: |
Happy New Year - and an ADB request Written by Arlessiar on 2007-01-02 06:00:35 Happy New Year to you and Jane and Mars! I wish you all the best for 2007 - the big ADB year. A screening in London - I was incredibly happy to hear that, because I was so hoping for that! It would be my once in a lifetime chance to see this film I'm anticipating so much on the big screen. But now I'm sad because I'll miss it - I won't be in London before the 2nd February. I live in Germany and I've booked a flight for the second Feb already. I also still have to work on Thursday and can't leave earlier. So I'll do something very pathetic now: I'll beg. Is there any way this film can be shown on Saturday or Sunday evening? Please??? I'd so love to see it. |
Written by Emily on 2007-01-02 05:59:25 Yes Santa heard my plea for you to come closer! Mind you I agree that France would be better because we have better alcool lots of wine! And maybe my family can pay for the trip for a, early birthday |
HORRAY!!!!!!! Written by Zerocool on 2007-01-02 05:37:44 Wow! A screening in London THEN Wolf Peg2!!! Feb 1st will be fantastic! Just off of Leciester Square there's a theatre called the Curzon which I imagine would be a perfect kind of theatre for this! But Im sure you already have something in mind! Woohoo! what a great start to the new year! |
Happy New Year too! Written by •Halessa• on 2007-01-02 05:22:10 Great to hear that ADB will come to UK in a screening - nevertheless, I have to state out that February 1st is - sorry for being brutally honest here - crap. There are a lot of people - like me - who will attend Pegasus 2 and have already booked their flight in total. This means, most of us will arrive on friday, February 2nd in London. Screening on Sunday might be wiser, because most of the convention attendees will stay until monday. Or maybe you can make an extra screening for convention guests only? |
Written by Damion on 2007-01-02 04:50:20 David, Jane and the Mutt...HAPPY NEW YEAR!! LoL Hope all goes well for you 3 in the new year and here's hoping ya bring ADB to Calgary |
Written by Delka on 2007-01-02 04:26:25 May there one day be a screening somewhere on the US east coast but no matter what-it will be worth the wait. Happy New Years too.

Written by lysambre on 2007-01-02 02:22:44 Happy new year ! Hope the best for you and Jane and Mars and all those around you. If "A dog's breakfast" comes to England, I guess I'm going to have to go too , again, I should take some stocks in airplane companies . Please tell us in advance once you now for sure, so that those of us living outside of UK can organise a charter or something :D (teletransportation is a nice concept, I think it's time to put it into practice ).
