HD loving Hewlett's!
HD loving Hewlett's!

The trees are alive, with the sound of squirrels!

Jane and Lenic & I are a little harried with the new hiatus gig (oops, did I say that out loud? More later… I promise!) and of course our first L.A. screening (yay!) We’ve got a few friends coming (some familiar faces I’m sure) and I’ve just learnt that Kate and Michael Lenic will be there, not just for the screening, but for our convention crashing Q&A’s, signings and there are rumors of photo ops. as well…see you there!

Few tasty tidbits for you all!

First off, the YouTube clips are going strong with over 55,000 viewings for the "Starcrossed" clip and over 30,000 viewings for "Toothbrush" (already!). We've just cut a trailer (with even more unseen clips) so, we should have that twisted little creation posted for you all shortly as well!

On the www.adogsbreakfastmovie.com front, our website viewers have gone from an average den of 1500 a day to a chattering horde of well over 2500!

Looks like all that squirrel marketing is beginning to make its’ mark (make it’s nibble?)!

Thanks again, and keep up the great campaign!

D!

I was at the screening this evening and the movie was very, very funny. I haven't laughed that much in I can't remember how long :-) David, thank you so much for spending so much time with the fans. And thanks again for creating such a terrific movie. I can't wait to see it again (and again)!! And Jane, thanks again for putting this screening together. It was a really fun evening :-) All the best!!!
Good Luck on Thursday

Hi David,

Just wanted to wish you, Jane & the rest of the crew good luck on Thursday. I'm sure you're nervous, don't be, just relax & enjoy the ride. What ever happen, you should be proud that you brought the project all the way from an idea to a finish product. As a fellow Canadian I'm glad to cheer. Good luck, eat popcorn, laugh & don't keep us waiting too long on your next project.

Will you make a screening in Europe ? Please ! Me and all the FFFDH (at least uh...30 people...and our families...and our friends too) are dying to watch the movie !!

Mine is an evil laugh!
Written by rosiewook on 2006-11-14 08:44:50
The best lines ever from "Firefly" seem appropriate to this post:
1. Curse your sudden, but inevitable betrayal!
2. Mine is an evil laugh....

Yup. Just a mean ol' tease! And the rest of us who can't be in LA this weekend will sit at home patiently waiting to take our next dose of antidepressant. ;)

Of course, if you came to DragonCon with all this goodness, I might be willing to forgive you.
Mars the magnificent
Written by taywolf on 2006-11-14 06:24:26
And are you going to be in Mars' film? He is very much 'hero' material. He could take over from Lassie (played by a boy dog) and be the canine star of 'this' century. He has a photogenic face and is a good size to cuddle, he seems quite a outgoing sort of dog, friendly and willing to flirt (a flirt dog) with the ladies. Wish him well with his endeavours.

Great pix!!! DH & SG11

Can't wait to see the LONGER trailer!!
BEST WISHES with the sceening, I'll be looking for MORE PIX!!!

remember, you need a "working" Florida vacation!! and bring the dog :D
Have a great day everyone!

To David, Jane, Paul and all the cast and crew (and all the squirrels who are lucky enough to go :sigh ) have a great time at the screening. :grin

Can't wait for the trailer to be available for us to post over the net. And hopefully we will get more info on this hiatus gig, and everything else that seems to be going on soon! :)

How the man has time to breathe amazes me!! ;)

Wearing my LA shades - wish I was going 8) Hxxx
Written by Erynn on 2006-11-14 03:34:01
Man, those people in the photo look like shady characters. I wouldn't want them to have my dog, thank you!

Can't wait to see the new trailer; dying of jealousy about not being able to go to LA. I hope you'll make it to Seattle or Vancouver sometime soon!

And don't keep us in such suspense about the hiatus project! EEEEEK!

Checking ADB's website, and other affiliated links is now officially part of my daily regime.

New TRAILER you say… HIATUS GIG… 30k/50k YOU TUBE HITS…

OH MY!!! (the squirrels rejoice)

Thanks for giving us a fresh news update! Can’t wait to hear back from all of you after the screening.

Been away for a couple of days and there's no way I'm ever going to catch up with all the chatter on the forum, so I'm not even going to try.

Just a few more days and it's screening time yay! Good luck and good fun with that. In the meantime I'm eagerly awaiting the trailer with new footage *flops tail excitedly*
Written by Shawna on 2006-11-14 01:04:13
Ooh, a trailer and a new gig. You're a terrible tease, David. But then, you know we love it.
Written by Jen the Fangirl on 2006-11-13 23:46:39
The Rodent King! OMG! That's brilliant! :D

Can't wait to see you on Thursday and then on Saturday. It's going to be fantastic!
Written by stillwaters on 2006-11-13 23:03:10
I wish all of ADB's cast and crew a wonderful time at the screening. I wish I could be there too. I imagine nerves are a bit frayed at this point, but what a wonderful time you'll be in for. Have a blast!
O_O
Written by Aten on 2006-11-13 22:32:37
*jaw hits floor* WOW! This is fantastic news! And just when I thought the most awesome week of my existence couldn't become more so! ;)

I'll have a copy of my beauteous Photoshop project with me at the screening (I still can't believe I'm going! Somebody slap me-wait, forget I said that!). Yes, I'm giving it to you.

I'm beyond enthused! I can truthfully say that I can't wait to see what's in store for me at the screening AND the con! Psyched barely covers it! :grin
Nifty!
Written by lttledvl on 2006-11-13 21:51:23
Another gig, hmm? I suppose you'll want us squirrels to promote that puppy too. Gladly! *pulls out pen to sign up*

Ooh, nice camera, btw - thanks for letting the tidbit drop on what kind it is (yah, I'm weird, I drool over cameras) :p

So the screening on the east coast will be when? (hint, hint) ;)

*squirrely frog twitching impatiently for ADB to come out*

(like the reference to the sound of music, btw.)
Good luck!
Written by casey on 2006-11-13 20:53:33
Great news about the film and this gig... congrats to yourself, Jane and all the crew and cast who worked hard! :grin

I have friends going to Burbank (initially) to see Michael Shanks and are now wooping in joy that you'll be appearing, along with Kate, Jane and the Lenics!

Can't wait for more news (and yeah, I'm probably the only sad soul around who hasn't applied for a screening...)

;)
Written by watcher652 on 2006-11-13 19:11:56
I forgot to say that there were many commets of "Aw!" and "How sweet!" when I handed out the flyers. Mars is definitely an attention-getter.

I did manage to mention "rescued from the pound, now a movie star" so I am paying attention to the campaign points.
Argh!!
Written by purple_dragon on 2006-11-13 19:03:05
All the little tidbits of information that you oh-so-casually dangle infront of our squirrelly noses is going to make me scream blue murder shortly!! I bet it's all worth the wait though (it'd better be!).
Also very :upset at all the peeps going to the LA screening (in a completely friendly way :) ), but I'm hoping that the news from after the screening will be about screening (or even a worldwide release!) date(s) (please let England have a screening - at P2 next februray perhaps??).

Flyered a convention
Written by watcher652 on 2006-11-13 19:01:26
I attended United Fan Con (which had Stargate guests David Nykl and Gary Jones, among others) this past weekend and handed out ADB flyers. I even gave David Nykl one. He recognized Mars right off.

I sized the flyers that I handed out 4x6 and 5x7 since that's easier to carry around or tuck into a pocket or purse. Also, less expensive to reproduce. I did make some 8x10s that I left on the flyer table and they disappeared quickly.

You need to give us a little spiel to say when we campaign for you, David. That way we can cover the points you'd like us to make.

And maybe a poster aimed at your scifi audience. While some people didn't recognize your name (Gasp! Well, it was a general scifi con with people with all sorts of reasons for attending), many did, and it generated additional interest.
Written by Linz on 2006-11-13 17:20:10
YAY! So glad to hear that Kate is going to be at the screening :D I can't wait!!! So close!

I'm starting to wish I could stay for the convention now... *thinks*
Written by Delka on 2006-11-13 17:13:46
The only thing getting me through this news (darn I can't go :sigh ) is all good things come to those that wait. For now I guess this squirrel will wait. But boy will that wait be worth it. :)

The promoting has begun. Had a great time at SG11, and thanks to Paul for agreeing to pose with us. Got a script in the works for P2, so David you have to be a judge or we can't do it. :)
Just hope I don't freeze like I did at SG11. :sigh

Hope this pix works

David!! You're going to drive your squirrel's insane. Soon we are going to start throwing our nuts at you. (We already throw them at eachother!)

So yeah, jealous of those going to the screening in LA. Praying you bring it to the south-eastern part of the US.

Watching Starcrossed and Toothbrush daily to get those numbers up. And...wow....a trailer! The chat room was chittering about it about 5 minutes after you posted this news.

A, and the pictures from the Con this past weekend with ADB posters and t-shirts! (Yay! Go Muffin!)

Still wildly jealous of everyone going to LA this week, but I know I'll make at least one screening. AT LEAST one! Best of luck!
Driving me Nuts
Written by Captain Peregrine on 2006-11-13 15:07:22
Good to hear that our little nut-piles are making a mark. It's amazing what sort of critters try to dig up your winter stash, but they can be privvy to this one, too. I'll share. :D And I am so looking forward to a trailer! teehee!

Of course, I have to agree that you are just downright mean with all these little teasers of yours. What's this hiatus gig? Grrr... you play the game of Squirrel Lord all too well. YOu've driven us all nuts. :grin :roll
Hiatus gig?
Written by sueKay on 2006-11-13 15:00:14

Wish I could be in LA for the screening I'll just have to wait for the movie to come over to Europe :D

Written by crazy4dh on 2006-11-13 14:53:31
:upset Ah!!!! All the tidbits and exciting things going on clear across the country!! I so wish I could be there. I'd trade my whole winter stash of nuts to be at the screening and bow before the Rodent King.
:sigh :cry
Hope it goes great (how could it not???)
Hiatus Gig? Hiatus Gig?? David you are not only the Rodent King, but the Master Torturer as well.
