Postering Hewlett
Postering Hewlett
I knew you were a talented bunch!

If you haven't had a look already, you should definitely check out the great work people have been up to in the way of posters.

With no help from us whatsoever, these digital gems have been created from a few images off the web and the wonderfully twisted imaginations of the artists.

Fan-tastic Poster Concepts

Fantastic stuff! Please keep them coming!

I can't wait for you all to see the movie!

Thanks much!

Dogs

I just bought a keyring the other day, and this is what it says:

'The more people I meet, the more I like my dog'

:grin
I have no artistic talent
Written by taywolf on 2006-10-16 10:24:14
Can I sell tickets or popcorn at the first screening of the movie. I could sit with Mars , I like dogs way more than I like people. :grin :grin
I so can't do posters!!
Written by Gebo on 2006-10-16 04:24:21
The posters are great, and I wish I could be that artistic. I so can't do posters. :sigh It would be nice to pick one of them for publicity for the movie. The person who got it would be over-the-moon to be associated with it I have no doubt.
Love the pic by the way. Looks as though you are on a major DIY jaunt. What with epoxy and what ever you are doing in this photo. :grin

You remind me a little bit of my cousin after my aunt told him he had to help paint their living room. *G* He was whining the whole time and after we finished there was more paint on him than on the walls.

Btw I never signed the posters I made, I'm the one with the pathetic 'conceptional Poster Page' Subline. I have no idea why I wrote something silly like that :)
Maybe it was (to quote your sister), the fever typing.

But I'm glad you liked the stuff we all made, because it was a lot of fun for us too. Even if you don't pick one of us it was still a nice idea.
Awww

I can't wait for you all to see the movie!

That's good, 'cause I'm fairly certain that we can't wait to see it either. :p

As for the wonderful variety of great posters.. what can I say, we're inspired. And thank you for the opportunity to get involved in ADB this way; it's been a lot of fun so far. Now, you mentioned something about new clips and the like? Come on man, we need more inspiration and source materials! :grin Just kidding; I know it'll all come in good time.

Anyway, good luck with the home improvement projects. Just remember the glues and epoxies go on the objects to be joined, not the hands. Caulk, on the other hand, is fun to play with as it just peels off when dry. 8)
Too Cute!
Written by tmac72 on 2006-10-15 00:15:57
Can someone actually be too cute? I just wanted to say that I love that new picture.

There are definitely some very talented people around here. They put my little posters to shame.

Thanks for the new picture David.

Best wishes.

Ditto on the great job to all who posted a uh... poster.
I am anxiously awaiting more news about ADB screenings or clips or screencaps or...anything. Thanks so much for keeping us updated. :)

Cant wait!

I absolutely cant wait to see A Dogs Breakfast. The posters I've seen so far are fabulous.I really want to see what poster David and people are going to end up using.

I've watched the few seconds of A Dogs Breakfast that has been given to us fans to see,so many times, im sure some people think im crazy.
"Out of that sea of stars, came all the elements that make me what I am." :grin
"Kareoke!!" LOL
I love that bit and David's/Patrick's reaction.

"May our transmatter beams cross again."
:p
Hewlett, the poster boy! :)

Haven't yet looked at the posters! I am envious - I have no artistic skills whatsoever (at least with these kinds of things) but I admire such talent :)

I take it that you're fixing that house that you always talk about in interviews?

Looks like lots of fun :D
Written by Aten on 2006-10-14 21:57:11
WOW! Kudos to everybody! I'm right with all the people who would've submitted if the level of Photoshop skill was higher. Plus I don't own my own copy of the software. I'm hoping to somehow bring ADB into my next Media Tech class project at school, though. Hope that counts for something.

*sees pic and melts*
:grin
Saying it again...

Like I said on the forum thread, wonderful work folks! Just great!
::ACK!::

::covers eyes::

After sending in the original link I noticed a mistake on the poster, but the submit link won't let me submit the URL from my LJ scrapbook more than once--even if the end of the URL is different. That being said, I actually fixed the poster immediately but forgot to upload it somewhere else to send in a new link. :P

So here is the corrected version...

A Dog's Breakfast Poster

I really DO know how to spell breakfast. ;)

These are some fabulous posters -- I wish I had some artistic talent, but I'm afraid all I'm good for is writing and a little singing. Oh, and maybe some percussion. Not that this helps at all...
Written by Zerocool on 2006-10-14 19:31:14
I have a great idea but alas my photoshop skills are very much lacking.
But it looks as thought the competition would be hard anyway :)
Basic boring subject line here
Written by Jan on 2006-10-14 19:25:11
That picture reminds me terribly much of my brother, even though the two of you don't physically look very much alike: he would wear exactly that face, four or five seconds before saying "what blue crap on a perfectly clean broom? What are you talking about? Wallpapering? ME?"

I don't know about you, but my bro actually practices that "I'm innocent!" look in the mirror whenever he has the chance, since he never knows when he's going to need it.

People have put together some really wonderful designs, and from the sound of the comments, have had a lot of fun doing it. Rebeccasaurus, you're amazing! Shawna-- your drawings make me all warm and happy. A. Gray... yay! Darklock... yay!

The actual poster may well come from the well-trained mind of an art director, graphic artist, or general movie-industry guru, but here on the board, there is talent to spare!
Written by Shawna on 2006-10-14 18:25:26
There's some great stuff there. Nice to see some are drawn, too. Makes me feel better about submitting my own designs (though I'm afraid my artwork's not as good)...which I still need to do.
Mars the Handsome
Written by taywolf on 2006-10-14 17:52:11
As long as you have a good picture of Mars on the poster. I like dogs, I like cats but people...I am not too sure!

Why not churn DVDs on your computer and sell them via Ebay!
Written by lttledvl on 2006-10-14 17:39:55
I kept meaning to, but somehow never got around to it. I know, that's no excuse, but there it is.

There are alot of good posters. David, you are going to have a hard time choosing though.
Written by sueKay on 2006-10-14 17:12:09
I'm no good at design, though I did submit one poster, some of them are absolutely fantastic!

...I think I missed the design gene!

I can't wait to see the movie either!!!
Written by dutch eowyn on 2006-10-14 16:49:41
I can't wait to see the movie either! And man, I'm glad I won't have to pick a poster, because there are some seriously good ones out there. I love how these fans are getting the appreciation they deserve imho :D
Moi has the first post???
Written by Angelicalangie on 2006-10-14 16:27:02
I love A. Gray's they are wonderful and very atistic, that said they all look like you paid them to make them. I think this is the way of the future, get your unpaid minions to do something to put ad exec's out of business!
