![]() No photos! Many of you are much more familiar with discussion forums than I am, or probably ever will be. So, I hope that I’m handling these things to your satisfaction. I had hoped that the boards would be a way of keeping the website exciting and new. I have a tendency to lurk on the odd board now and again. It’s always fun to check out the latest postings. On the Stargate front they are always good for a laugh…or a cry…or a deep blush! I’m very curious to see how our own little boards will work out in the long run. There are a fair number of people that have been apologizing to me about the quality and the quantity of postings on the boards. Others have asked if I might not want to set some rules. Here’s the thing, unlike Rodney, I would really rather not have to resort to becoming the avenging moderator, and I really don’t want to have to recruit some poor soul to do it for me. Thank you all for your kind concern, but I’d like people to say and do as they please here... Unless it makes me look bad …or they tell embarrassingly lies …or embarrassingly truths about me …my friends, family or canine …or if they say anything I disagree with… in which case I say censor the $%!!@# out of those B#$$%^ds! What I HAVE done, is go through the boards and try to rearrange things into separate forums. For example, I’ve created a “Photo” forum in a bid to try and keep the pro-photo and the no-photo people from flaming each other to bits (bytes?). I would really rather not crush anyone’s topics or postings. I am hoping that the recent “drama” is just because the two forums are getting a bit crowded and that by adding a few more “focused” forums I’ll give everyone some more elbow room. On the neat features front…I’ve added a “latest post” module to the forum that I’m hoping is working properly. Jane (and a few others on the board) were sick of trying to figure out what they’d read or not. As always, thanks for your patience, your enthusiasm and your banter! D!
