Please spread the word! Let's see if we can't give Amazon.com a taste of that server paralyzing squirrel frenzy!

Arg! Written by Stix62 on 2007-06-26 16:04:59 I was extremely happy for all of about 10 minutes when I read that you could download ADB... and then I checked Amazon and it's unavailable. What's that? Of course I already have pre-ordered the film and can't wait for September.... I just kind of wanted to see it earlier. Oh well... |
Unless it's exclusive to Amazon.... Written by Murk on 2007-06-26 13:53:46 Unless Amazon have an exclusive, playusa.com might be a better bet. I'll email them now! |

Written by animallover on 2007-06-25 19:16:25 I would really love to buy my own copy of ADB but unfortunately I live in AUSTRALIA & am unable to purchase a copy. Stupid Amazon!!! |
In the same boat Written by strivaria on 2007-06-25 18:50:42 As a Linux user at home, I apparently am not entitled to partake in the Amazon download fun. However, I checked the website from the WinXP box here at work and find a "not available" message. Did they rescind the download option already? |
Written by Lyah on 2007-06-25 18:33:53 I hope Amazon opens it up for the rest of us. It is summer time now and I need a movie to watch like every day...over and over again... |
Not A Happy Squirrel Written by SomeCallMeLaz on 2007-06-25 18:30:33 I was incredibly excited when I read David's Twitter about a download release but now I find as I'm not in America, I don't deserve to see this movie? As someone else pointed out, rightly or wrongly, this is the sort of attitude which only encourages illegal downloading. What about the poor Canadians? I imagine it's actually worse for them! That said, I doubt it's up to Amazon - it's MGM who decide on distribution, is it not? I'm happy to email Amazon.co.uk to tell them we want it over here too, because hopefully if we make enough noise they'll pass that on. Luckily I can and will get the dvd shipped over when it is released in September if it hasn't been released in the UK, but I wouldn't pre-order it when currency can fluctuate so much in the space of a few months. |
Addendum Written by LogicSequence on 2007-06-25 18:22:21 In fact, i remember thinking, I know he doesn't know, because i remember you had said your were *hoping* to have it available for download a little before the DVD release. I remember you being excited about the possibility, so i knew something was weird when you didn't mention it. Origional post: ADB available via Unbox Download, #43 Written by LogicSequence on 2007-06-23 23:25:49 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David, did you see that A Dog's Breakfast is available via Unbox Video Download on Amazon.com?? #43 in downloads!!! (was link) A Dog's Breakfast via Unbox Video At Amazon.com |
Written by JennyJenn on 2007-06-25 18:21:37 I'm waiting for mine in September. (I am one of the lucky ones.) Amazon just says 'Not Available' for download. |
I can't beleive you didn't know! Written by LogicSequence on 2007-06-25 18:13:09 Phew, back on my computer instead of the phone! So David, i hope you read this: So i was searching amazon for A Dog's Breakfast, i guess it was 2 days ago, checking the DVD rankings. I accidently left out the ' in Dog's, and got a link to the unbox download. I was super surprised. I couldn't find it with the ' though, it was bizarre. It was 43'd by then in ranking, so i know it had to have been availble before then. I posted in the blog comments hoping you'd see about it, and on gateworld. Something told me, you know he'd tell us if he'd known, he must not know! |
GRRRR.... Written by APMC4CB on 2007-06-25 18:02:21 grrrrrr ... stupid american amazon! Sorry..... just cant wait till we can see it in the UK. This kinda thing is why people do illegal downloads! Just release everything at the same time all over the world!!!! tch .... Obviously i will still buy the DVD...just have to get a multi region DVD player at the same time! |
UH... Written by ScarletBegonia on 2007-06-25 17:57:09 I just went there and it says "This item is currently not available" and I'm in the US and I have a (dreaded) PC...I swear! Guess I have to wait for Sept...sigh. Scarlet |
It's GREAT! Written by rosiewook on 2007-06-25 17:56:03 You should also be aware that you have to download Amazon's software to view it. (Yes. Yet another software download.) However, it does allow you to watch it full-screen. And you can also transfer it to a mobile player and take ADB on the road with you. And it's WONDERFUL! (I'm shouting. Sorry. But it's a lot of fun.) I will, of course, need to get the DVD because I have a sad, 14-inch monitor and a speaker that chose this movie upon which to go out. As a result, I could tell I was missing some visual gags and some great sound and music. But I shall endure! In September, I will happily sit down in my home theater with the DVD and enjoy the fun. Thanks, David! And please tell MGM to give in and just go to iTunes. |
Written by jbpiggy on 2007-06-25 17:38:13 quick all non US squirrels email amazon an ask/demand/or as a last resort beg for a worldwide release even if it only for the downloadable version. J. |
