Cannot BELIEVE I missed this! I live 15 from Stratford! And after all the times I complained that all the good Canadian movies never come over here. Excuse me while I find a wall to bang my head against repeatedly. :x

ADB screening at the Stratford Digital F
Written by freckles on 2007-05-17 19:01:48
As David seems to be snowed under at the moment, I thought I would mention to anyone within commute distance that the Stratford Upon Avon DFF is free! Providing there are still places available, you won't need to pay for a ticket at all. And not only that, but you will get to see a whole host of other short films made by independent filmakers thrown in as well! The Thursday showing will screen 4 others shorties as well as ADB and the Saturday screening a totally different three. Tremendous value for non-money ;)

Please do visit the site David listed for more info. You can book tickets by hitting the 'Contact' button and making a request. Samantha should get back to you fairly quickly.

If it wasn't for London Expo that weekend, I would be going to the Thursday and Saturday showings both!
Stratford Screening More Info ...
Written by amararti on 2007-05-17 12:53:57
I'm so excited - I have reserved seats at the Thursday screening and at the Saturday one for the family. The screenings are taking place at the White Swan Hotel in Stratford and, for those of you driving to the venue, there is a Pay and Display car park oposite the hotel. It doesn't look like the hotel facilities can accomodate huge numbers their Web site mentions being able to seat 80 when they use the restaurant for conferences - but who knows maybe there are special arrangments for the Film Festival. If anyone is planning on going I'm sure it would be best to email them to reserve seats.

Yay - *happy dance* I'm finally going to get to see ADB ....

DAMN!

David dear *flutters eyelashes* do you think if i get the local cinema interested we can have a showing?

@freckles .... ha, *big grin* indeed on the cost front. Saturday looking good for me. I hope that they have lots of seats :eek :eek wouldn't want to drive over there and be disappointed (again). I thought the screenings would be at the Town Hall like before but it seems they are now at the College - no idea on how many they can seat there.

Well, I would have posted more info but I didn't want to steal David's thunder! I'm sure he'll keep the squirrels updated when he can :)

I just kind of figured out who to ask and they responded pretty quickly. If David doesn't post about it beforehand, then the full programme should be available to all tomorrow or Wednesday at the very latest, apparently. If anyone is desperate for a little more information (i.e. Saturday timings and cost *bg*), you can visit my LJ site. I'm the4ts over there.

Hi David & Co.
Congrats - hope you get loads of publicity and expand your audience range & of course, do great at the film festival! Stratford was cool, even though I saw it in the middle of winter when I visited the UK. I'm nuts about Othello and Hamlet. Anyway, love the Twitter thing - hope you stick with it. Something wrong with this work-assigned PC (this been South Africa, it's quite common) I can't hear the rapping and can only watch a few seconds. Pity...
Cheers
Yes!

Much luck at the festival! I wish I could travel so far, but I've got graduation practice. I'm not even in school anymore, for crying out loud! Nothing should be holding me back short of finances! :upset

Better remind Mars that today is mother's day. It's a little late in the day but there's still time for little doggies to get their Mamas some treats and even if Jane says she doesn't want it... well everyone likes treats!

That's wonderful news! Best of luck, and here's to coming home with all three awards! What better than to be up for those awards at a festival whose only theme is excellence! Here it seems appropriate to "borrow" a title from a children's book by P.D. Eastman -- "Go, Dog, Go!"
Yeah...
